Electrospinning Equipment: Electrospun Janus Composite Fiber Membrane and its Separation and Antibacterial Properties 2025-04-17
In this study, a PVDF@MC/PAN@MC composite fiber membrane with a Janus structure was successfully fabricated through electrospinning machine. Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and polyacrylonitrile (PAN) were used as raw materials, and N - halamine antibacterial agent 1 - chloro - 2,2,5,5 - tetramethyl - 4 - imidazolidinone (MC) was added to endow the membrane with antibacterial properties. The prepared membrane had one side hydrophilic and underwater oleophobic, and the other side hydrophobic and underwater oleophobic. It showed certain separation performance for mud, oil - water emulsion, metal ions, and organic dyes. Moreover, it had a good antibacterial effect on Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. However, due to the low content of MC, it couldn't achieve rapid sterilization in a short time. This research provides new ideas for the development of high - performance separation membranes and promotes the application of Janus membranes in separation and antibacterial fields.
