Electrospinning Equipment: Electrospun Carbon Nanofiber Mats for Air Pollutant Detection 2025-03-13
This study reviews the latest progress of electrospun carbon nanofiber mats (ECNMs) in sensor technology for air pollutant detection. The preparation of ECNMs involves multiple steps, including material selection, dissolution, electrospinning using an electrospinning machine, stabilization, and carbonization. To enhance sensor performance, surface modification via covalent and non - covalent functionalization, like CVD and molecular imprinting, is employed. ECNMs are applied in detecting gas pollutants such as VOCs, NOx, SO₂, CO, particulate matter, and heavy metals. They show high sensitivity and selectivity due to surface modification and functionalization. The research also innovatively applies carbon nanofiber - based sensors to wearable devices. Overall, ECNMs hold great promise for environmental monitoring, industrial safety, and health protection, though challenges remain.
