Judging from the overall number of papers published in the past five years, the number of papers related to electrospinning is still showing an upward trend year by year.

In the Web of science database, the number one publication is POLYMERS (the impact factor in 2021 is 4.967, and the five-year average impact factor is 5.063); followed by ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces (the impact factor in 2021 is 10.383, The five-year average is 10.382). Chemical Engineering Journal ranks second in the EI database (impact factor in 2021 is 16.744, 5-year average of 14.61).

Hot research directions in the field of electrospinning in 2022
Judging from the research direction of this year's papers, there are more research papers in Materials Science, Chemistry, and Polymer Science.
The author conducted a search for the subdivided application fields of electrospinning and found that: Compared with the results in 2021, the number of published results in the field of biomedicine in electrospinning is still the highest, followed by the number of published results in the field of energy.
